University of Madras Examination Results 2010

The Publics Petition dated 11-11-1839 initiated the establishment of Madras University. It was in January 1840 with Mr.George Norton as its President, The University Board was constituted. In 1854 after a lapse of 14 years Government of India formulated a systematic educational policy for India and as a sequel to this on 5th September 1857 by an act of legislative council of India the University was established. The University was organised in the Model of London University.

Madras University is the mother of almost all the Old Universities of Southern India. The University area of Jurisdiction has been confined to, however, 3 districts of Tamil Nadu in recent years. This is consequent to establishment of various Universities in the State and demarcation of the University territories.

Rajasthan University Examination Results 2010

The University of Rajasthan is the oldest institution of higher learning in Rajasthan. It was established on 8th January, 1947, as the University of Rajputana with the main objective of disseminating knowledge and catering to the needs of the students of Rajasthan. It had jurisdiction over the entire state. In the year 1956, the Rajputana University was renamed as the University of Rajasthan, keeping intact its enveloping jurisdiction. With the successive creation of other universities, its affiliating jurisdiction has come down, but it is still the hub of Higher Education in Rajasthan paving the way for the other universities. It attracts students from all over Rajasthan and other parts of India and abroad.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering : GATE 2010 Results

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) results has been announced on 15/03/2010 by IIT Guwahati.

GATE is an all India examination which is jointly administered and conducted by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordination Board-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and Government of India.

The GATE committee holds the sole authority to regulate the examinations and to declare the results.

GATE is conducted through the eight zones, and the institutes which conduct the examination are:

Zone-3: Indian Institute of Technology Delhi
Zone-4: Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati
