The Director of Government Examinations is a Head of the Department under the Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, functioning at the State Headquarters. There are no unit offices at the District Level. Three Deputy Commissioners, 12 Assistant Commissioners and 47 sections at the Head Office; and 24 Assistant Commissioners at the District Headquarters (accommodated in the Offices of the District Educational Officers) assist the Director.

Kumaun University is headquartered in Nainital, India. The university was established in 1973 under the UP State Act. It has two campuses, in Nainital and Almora, and 27 affiliated colleges spread over the Kumaun region. A campus is being developed at Bhimtal. Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University is a university in Ajmer, Rajasthan, India. It opened in 1987 and is named after the philosopher Maharshi Dayananda Saraswati.
